How are you Greg?
Haven't thought much about a date because it's impossible for me to know when I'll be available next year but I'm certainly planning another solo, health permitting. This time I'll have close friends/family crewing, and it wouldn't be the same without Max - she's the reason I finished this year. Several people gave of themselves on that last climb (Karen, Holly, Elizabeth, Marcia and John with their constant encouragement), but Max was the only crew member who stayed with me up until the very last step and believed in me, no matter what.
Have you settled on a shirt design?

I am!!!!! I'am thinkin around the 16th or so never thought I'd be back.
The design I have been thinking about is a left shoe print side ways on top, a right shoe print across the bottom, then a crude gragh image in the middle left side Badwater, right side Mt. Whitney. The part that is giving me problems is a slogan.
[glow=red,2,300]Badwater To Mt. Whitney[/glow] over the top of the shoe.
[glow=red,2,300]One Step at a Time 135 Miles[/glow] under the bottom shoe.
Then comes the shirt type, color, print color. I think it might be getting close.

Terry,
The Big Race is July 14-16. Best to stay off the course during that time.
But I'm really glad to see you're going back. I'm not surprised in the least.

How are you and John, Marcia?
Of course I will have to work around my crew's availability, but I'm knocking around the idea of doing the solos after the BWUM this year, perhaps one or two weeks later. I'd like to stay away from the 4th of July holiday this next time around if at all possible.
What are others' thoughts?

Hi Connie,
We're fine; good to hear from you.
I'm still trying to chisel out my race schedule for next year. First, I was waiting to see if I got into Western States. I didn't, so I'm trying to decide on another mountain 100. Haven't yet decided if I will do another Badwater Solo next year. John has talked about doing it again, and if he does, I may just crew for him. When it comes down to the wire, though, it's hard to say no. We'll see.
John and I still need to talk to the Park Service about the Solo. I'll post as soon as I have some news.
