It may be snowing here in Pa, but I'm thinking about July and hot, really hot. I'd be glad to crew this year in order to prepare for a '09 run. I'm a serious runner, having finished several events over 50 miles, includind 1 100. I'm signed up for 4 100's this year.

Steve,

Does it matter to you if you crew the "official" race with all the hoopla or would you be interested in crewing a solo crossing?

It doesn't matter to me. I've run the D V Marathon, that's  in February. I need to get there in the summer to see that part.
Please pass along any ideas.

Steve,

I'm going to attempt another solo crossing this year and I have one crew member so far committed to helping me.  I'll need 2-3 more and you're more than welcome to join my crew for the experience.  It should be a much less complicated crossing as I made a crucial mistake last year (ingested oral rehydration salts prior to the race that I did not need and ended up sick most of the race) but won't make the same one this year.

Email me offlist if you're interested at badwaterbound@sbcglobal.net.  I haven't decided on a date yet but I'm leaning toward the end of July/first week of August.  It depends on what the others decide to do as well.

Thanks,

Connie Karras
