About Craig Foster

I'm a transplanted Ohioan (Go Bucks!) now living in the Seattle area. I was always a casual runner, even ran a few marathons, until I moved to Seattle...a trail runners paradise...about 10 years ago.

I started running more marathons and began running ultras about four years ago...right around the time I finally got clean and sober (after developing a pretty bad alcohol problem over the years). As of March 1, 2012 I have completed 29 marathons, fourteen 50Ks, nine 50 milers, and one 100 miler for a total of 53 races of marathon distance or longer.

My plans for the balance of 2012 include 3 marathons, 3 - 50Ks, 2 - 50 milers, and 3 - 100 milers...with a few more probably sprinkled in. I am planning on crewing at Badwater this year and hope to submit an application to run the 2013 event.

I feel very blessed to be able to do something I love and see the world in a way that few people do. Running has opened up a whole new world for me and I have met some amazing people along the way.
